Salisbury Youth Hockey (SYH) is a nonprofit youth hockey association that has been teaching children to play ice hockey for more than 30 years. Located in the Berkshire hills of northwestern CT, SYH was started and continues to be run by local residents who have a love for the game and the children who play it. The mission of SYH is to promote the development of our children both as hockey players and as people by establishing a safe, supportive and fun environment in the context of an instructional and competitive hockey program. SYH believes that participation in team sports can be an important ingredient in healthy youth maturation.
SYH recognizes a broad range of ability and commitment among its participants, and strives to provide appropriate instruction and competition within the constraints of cost and ice time. To the best of our ability, SYH seeks to place youths (boys and girls) with similar desires and skills together on teams or in groups to maximize enjoyment and safety for all participants.
SYH does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, national origin or religious affiliations.
